Firstly for my exciting news, last night at 12.30 after a long labour my beautiful Schnauzer Heidi was taken to the vets hospital for a c-section. To our total amazement Heidi returned home an hour later very tired with 1 single male puppy......Yogi (we reckon he will look like a little bear  with that endless supply of Mum's milk all to himself) as he has been affectionatley named is absolutley gorgeous looks just like his mum, I don't know that dad is overly impressed with his offspring but I am sure in time they will get along and have lots of fun together
Mum and Yogi are getting along wonderfully I took this pic with my phone when he was about 2 hours old so its not real flash.....sorry:)

On another exciting note as you all know "Lily" our A1 Longarm  is in residence at the shop and she has started earning her keep everything is wonderful with Lily and she is ready to quilt your quilt tops
This was "Lily's" first quilt

Where to begin??????????????

Where do I begin.....at the start I hear you say.
Well Ok I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo excited  over Easter there is to be some deconstruction and renos happening at Country Hart.......I am really good at the deconstruct part...lol
Why I here you ask and I know you are all thinking I am expanding the shop need  more room for fabric...well I always need more room for fabric but NO I have to make room for the A1 Long Arm which I have just ordered from the lovely Tracey Browning......I am soooooooo excited.

So in my last blog post I said there was to be a competition well here goes
Our beautiful new long arm needs a name and I am going to let you do it so get those thinking caps on and fire up those imaginations, post those names the winner will get one of their quilt tops quilted FREE on our new machine
So go to it Good Luck

As most of you would know due to popular demand we are begining a 2nd mail out of My Sewing Room next week so if you have been pondering over weather or not to join us I thought we might be able to help you out with a look at project no 1 from the lovely
" When Stitches are Sewn"
rememebr too Gail will be followed by Natalie Ross (I have Nat's patterns and her project is just gorgeous), Janelle Wind Leanne Knell, Amanda Bergamin, Linda Haigh, Melly Hurlston, Helen Stubbings, Leonie and Diedre of the Quilted Crow and yours truly.

lots happening

Well what a time I have been having.... My Sewing Room has been so popular we are all really amazed at the response we have had. The first mail out with Gail Pan's gorgeous design was mailed out on March 28th, since then we have had so many enquiries that we have decided to do a second mail out which will begin on April 28th so if you would like to join up its not too late ....head on over to the website
and find out how.
Natalie Ross is designer number 2  and her patterns are on their way here is a sneek peek

I attended a machine quilting workshop on Saturday with the girls from the Pirie Quilters and we had a great time......oh we learnt lots too such a great group of girls off to quilting with them tonight can't wait for the laughs to begin

With all the fundraising finished up  Relay for Life was held last Saturday. I had a great time did lots of laps, did the yellow walk, the pink walk, the prom walk and even played circle gap which I hadn't played since primary school which is far too many years ago to admit. We did however come 2nd which wasn't too bad we may have even done better if it hadn't poured with rain ....we were drenched.
The candle light ceremony was very sad and extremely hard for my kids and I  watching the empty table and remembering who is missing from ours

So I had a great time although I didn't see the whole thing out....I went home early not by my own choosing but that of others who decided to act very nastily upon what  thoughts they had going on in their heads instead of  the facts which they could have found out quiet easily if they did the civilized thing and asked.
Oh well enough of that far toooooooooooooo many positives in my life to be worried about the negitivity some people thrive on there is not enough time for that.

I will be back later this week with some very exciting news........BIG news and a competition so keep your eyes peeled for that one

til next time keep on stitch'n

hugs
Robyn
